A team from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has recently created a new material for direct-methanol fuel cells (DMFC) which increases power output by more than 50 percent. The team used layer-by-layer assembly technique and able to creates a thin firm (nanomembrane) less permeable to methanol as compares to Nafion which presently used in the market.
